A touch screen could be easier for people with trouble using a mouse and keyboard. And to give wheelchair users the greatest interactions possible, our wheelchair-accessible kiosks have been created with their input.

The Eufy Smart Lock Touch comes in two sizable pieces slot on either side of the door. It is not a little gadget. The fingerprint reader, keypad, and lock cylinder are all located on the exterior, roughly 6 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide, and an inch thick. The much bigger inside, which measures just under eight inches tall, stores the substantial rechargeable batteries, the motor, and the manual lock mechanism.

Products with electrical plugs are intended for usage in the United States. Consequently, this device may require an adapter or converter in your location. Please double-check compatibility before making a purchase.

Features of Eufy Security Smart Lock Touch

Easy to Use

One of the most apparent advantages of touch screen technology is its ease of use. You engage with what you want, point where you want to go, and tap on what you want to open. Using your solution will be natural, spontaneous, rapid, and easy in today’s world, when most consumers already interact with the touch screen in their pocket.

Eufy Security Smart Lock Touch is easy to operate when you know the system of the product, as the keypad is very simple to use. When you touch it, the keypad illuminates, allowing you to input a code and unlock the door.

Suppose you are more suspicious (or have watched action movies where someone figures out a secret by looking at the fingerprints on the keypad). In that case, you may use a scramble code, which allows you to input up to 12 random digits before or after your keycode to make it more difficult to see.

Fingerprint Reader

With the high fingerprint reader technology, The Eufy Smart Lock Touch & WiFi proved dependable in usage, detecting fingerprints without issue and rejecting those not registered.

Up to 50 fingerprints and 100 unique codes may be registered, which should be adequate for any home. These may be issued to up to 100 users, each of whom can be canceled or granted limited privileges in the app (such as only being used once or between certain hours).

Although it takes some time, adding fingerprints is also reasonably straightforward. To ensure that the fingerprint reader accurately reads each fingerprint, it must be scanned eight times from a slightly different stance or angle.

The fingerprint reader does not respond when someone attempts to access the lock who is not allowed to do so. Instead, the ring around the fingerprint reader flashes red after five attempts if they continue trying. That understated reaction could deter a thief, but the smart door lock might also prevent someone who is accidentally using the wrong finger.

Additionally, Eufy suggests that each user register two fingers in case one is obscured by a scratch or stain. The door unlocks, and the fingerprint reader’s ring illuminates white when a fingerprint is identified. The time it takes to identify the finger and unlock the lock is incredibly short—about one second.

Auto Lock Feature

Auto-lock is a function integrated into Eufy security smart lock touch that locks your door automatically when closed. It’s fast, safe, and automated, so you’ll never have to worry about leaving your door open again. The smart lock will instantly activate and lock your door when your keyless entry door lock senses that it is in a fixed closed position, as determined by the built-in sensor.

Return the lock screen, and click the gear icon in the top right corner to access the Lock Settings screen. You may select various options here, including Auto-Lock, which allows you to choose how long the door should be left unlocked before being automatically locked.

There’s also a One-Touch Locking option, which allows you to lock the door by long-pressing the Lock button on the keypad, a Wrong-Try Protection option, which will lock down the lock after a certain number of failed attempts to unlock the door, and a Scramble Passcode option, which allows you to enter random numbers before or after your actual passcode to help protect it from prying eyes.

Easy to Install

The installation of the Smart Lock Touch is not so difficult, and it is broken down into easy steps. During the process, the only thing that takes some time to do is the installation of the bridge. Still, the procedure is relatively simple owing to Eufy’s textual and video directions and labeled boxes that indicate the sequence of component installation.

First, determine if the lock will fit on your door. It is intended to replace a regular deadbolt lock on a 1 38 to 2 18-inch thick door with a backset of 2 38 or 2 34 inches, the distance between the door edge and the center of the hole into which the lock fits. It should fit most doors and replace a deadbolt lock, but it will not fit mortise or lever handle locks.

After removing the old lock, install the deadbolt mechanism within the door and attach the lock’s exterior portion. The backing plate is then screwed to the inside of the door using a pair of large screws. Next, a cable joins the internal and exterior sections of the lock, and the inner part is attached to the supporting plate with a few additional screws.

That’s a lot of steps, but none requires special tools other than a screwdriver and the knowledge to recognize which end to use. These processes are also nicely denoted by numbered boxes of parts: step 1 is the lock mechanism, step 2 is the striking plate, and so on.

After installing this keyless entry lock, you can use the Eufy Security app to connect to it through Bluetooth and your WiFi network. Again, if you correctly follow the instructions, the procedure is relatively simple: The Eufy Security app guides you through the process and assists.

Final Verdict

Eufy security smart lock touch meets all your demands: it’s simple to use, and install, has a variety of access choices, has a lovely look, provides keyless entry, and has a ton of smart home connections. In addition, the fingerprint reader is a fantastic feature that makes it incredibly simple to enter your house without a key, phone, or fob.

The WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities of the smart door lock allow you to connect with your smartphones via the Eufy app. A specialized door lock with many levels of security is called a Eufy Smart Lock.

You may feel secure knowing that this smart door lock is in your home because it has fingerprint recognition and auto-lock features. Additional security options include app-based Bluetooth/WiFi unlocking and pin code unlocking.

Review: I had trouble with the long left screw connecting the main external unit to the internal mounting plate. It would bind and become nearly impossible to turn. I tried swapping left and right screws thinking it was a badly threaded screw but the same thing happened. I had to muscle it in carefully to avoid stripping the head. Finally got it in far enough to allow the internal unit and wiring to clear the exposed head. The finished product is securely installed but it will forever bug me. I believe the issue is with the threads on the external unit. Therefore, replacement screws probably won’t help.

Review: It was easy to install. Works fine. Looks great. Make sure when you add your finger print you add it from different angle to register it or it wont read you finger if not registered in that position.
